At 16:30 this afternoon, Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch.
Conditions are favourable for the possible development of severe thunderstorms this afternoon. This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds.
Daytime heating acting in combination with an unstable airmass has allowed some scattered thunderstorms to develop this afternoon. The potential exists for a few of these storms to become severe.
