Impaired driver drove through Northside fence yesterday
Around 18:08 yesterday, police responded to a report that a vehicle had driven through a
fence along the 1800 block of 23 Street North. The vehicle had left the scene before police got there; however officers located it on Cougar Way North. Following an investigation, police arrested and charged a suspect.
Jason Alan Choboter, 30, of Lethbridge, is charged with impaired driving, driving over .08, dangerous driving, and failing to remain at the scene of an accident. He is to appear in court on October 3.
In an unrelated incident, a 2004 grey Ford Freestar with Alberta licence plate DHU 025 was stolen from the 2400 block of 13 Street North. Police did not state when this took place.
Sometime between midnight and 8:00 this morning, a white 2 door 2005 Chevrolet Blazer with BC licence plate 716 PFL was stolen. At the time of the theft the vehicle was parked in the east parking lot of a hotel in the 2200 block of Mayor Magrath Drive South.
Alberta licence plate DYG 655 was stolen off of a 2009 dark blue Toyota Venza. Police did not state when this theft took place or where the vehicle was parked.
