Graffiti on downtown business; another impaired driver caught

Sometime overnight August 1, graffiti was written on a front window of a business and also on an adjacent grey power box in the 400 block of 5 Street South.

At 21:30 Friday, police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver swerving into oncoming traffic and nearly colliding with parked vehicles. The suspect vehicle was stopped in the 1700 block of 23 Street North. An investigation resulted in the driver being charged.

Diane McNeely, 47, of Lethbridge is charged with impaired driving, driving over .08 and dangerous driving. She is scheduled to appear in court September 19.

Sometime within the past week a battery was stolen from a holiday trailer in the 2300 block of 21 Street in Coaldale.

Sometime between 19:00 and 21:00 on August 9, the back window on a vehicle parked on Mary Cameron Crescent North was smashed.
