First Friday has grown quickly and includes over 70 participating businesses, artists, and organizations. The monthly event has seen incredible growth and awareness in its first four months and the Heart of Our City Committee and Downtown Lethbridge BRZ hope to see it expand throughout the winter months.

Those planning to bring their families to downtown Lethbridge this First Friday will have a chance to win $100 in gift certificates, but only if they can answer a few questions first. The Downtown Lethbridge BRZ offers a scavenger hunt that takes participants on a tour of the area and tests their knowledge of businesses, public art, and landmarks in the downtown core. Those who complete the hunt on August 3 can enter to win $100 in gift certificates for downtown establishments, as well as a New West Theatre ticket package to their upcoming show Party On. The scavenger hunts can be picked up at the Downtown Lethbridge BRZ office located at 309 6 Street South, or they can be printed off of the First Friday website.

Canadian Blood Services and Mocha Cabana have teamed up once again to host a VIP Patio Party for anyone who donates blood on First Friday. To book an appointment for First Friday, phone 888.2.DONATE.

Naturistas (424 7 Street South) will hold a sidewalk lemonade stand in front of their business throughout the day with all proceeds being donated to the Lethbridge Food Bank and free face painting and 50 cent popcorn will also be available in Galt Gardens near the Rotary Centennial Fountain.
